1N5408 DO-27 Power Rectifier Diode

Description

The 1N5408 is a power rectifier diode with a forward current maximum of 3A and a voltage drop of 1V. It is frequently used in switching and rectifying applications. It has 1V drop in forward voltage (at 3A).  An axial leaded general purpose rectifier in DO-27 package. It features low leakage and high current capability. The maximum current carrying capability of a 1N5408 diode is 3A, and it can endure peaks of up to 200A. Repeated Reverse Voltage is limited to 1kV. If (AV) 3A, the forward current is 3A. Maximum Forward Voltage VF is 1.2V. Such applications include power supply rectification, inverters, converters, and freewheeling diodes.
